Tubac Culinary School

Art lovers come from around the States to discover an art scene that showcases local artists as well as many of the Southwest's finest. Seasonal events promoted by the Tubac Chamber of Commerce embrace the fullness of the arts, including the annual Tubac Jazz and Blues Festival and the ever-popular Tubac Festival of the Arts. Old Schoolhouse

Tubac was first established as a Spanish presidio (fort) in 1752.  The intervening centuries have seen five flags flying over the land that was once traveled by explorer Juan Bautista de Anza on his way to San Francisco.  Artists' studios, galleries, shops and restaurants now occupy the historic grounds which once served as the home for a Spanish military garrison. Tubac continues to remember it origins at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park which is located in the village's Old Town, adjacent to the northern edge of Brasher Real Estate's Barrio de Tubac.

More information on Tubac is available at the web site for the Tubac Chamber of Commerce, and the Santa Cruz Visitors Center has information on the region.
